A New Way!

The following is a blog I originally posted on activerain.com.

I have been a member of this fine networking site for a little while now and have not taken it or this blog option to its highest and best use. As a newer Real Estate Specialist, I have unfortunately found myself falling into the same old habits that I have seen some of my fellow associates fall victim to. I finally and thankfully realized this a couple weeks ago when I posted my very first and only blog to date which can be viewed for your welcomed criticism at crystalsoldit.blogspot.com. I was very proud of my effort, until I took constructive criticism of my blog entirely too personal.

I thought that if I blogged about features of my listings that it would provide more exposure for my seller, right? Although my sales manger enlightened me to the fact that I need a part of everyday happenings, myself, and my learned lessons as well. Now as a new Realtor, Apprentice Auctioneer, wife, mother, aunt, daughter, financial advisor, Renovator/flipper. try to be stager and ok you guys get the point, I was bogged down by the very thought of even more content. Then out of no where it finally hit me today that she actually had my best interests at heart and she knows from her many years of experience that people want to know who they are actually dealing with and want to be comfortable with the person they choose to partner with for the services of their most valuable investments. If they choose you, they need to know you are doing all you can find the time to do to market yourself as well as their property and if in fact in 2008 you are a Realtor and you are not posting blogs then you are doing a huge disservice to yourself and your clients. The web is a great marketplace and it is the number one niche marketplace - so if you are not putting yourself out there you are only falling farther behind and it will only cost you even more missed opportunity.

So let me extend my invite to share in the somewhat uncomfortable, but necessary world of blogging!

A new day!

It is a new day in my life as I enter the wonderful world of blogging... so bear with me y'all!

Today began with the phone buzzing just as my Blackberry turns on at 7:00 A.M.! First things first, my friend/seller of two fabulous tracts of hunting land in Carlisle County, KY, I have listed, (please note the beautiful pictures below) calls with some advice on his listing. Perfect, I think to myself! Richie proceeds to say to me that his land is actually in the Mississippi River fly away offering Wood and Mallard ducks with 150-200 class trophy bucks not just 150 class as I have noted and goes on to inform me that the picture of one deer head he had killed on the land that I have posted as example of the available game is a 191 5/8 p/y (?) and if I change those few things the listing will be more accurate and appealing to all. Thanks Richie!!! I am truly blessed to be able to learn something new everyday! How did I get so lucky? I work with friends everyday in a business I LOVE!
